Welcome back! Phil took a few weeks off for some voice issues/head cold…which has only become worse. So here’s the audio of Phil speaking to his church about having a Christian perspective on politics. It’s easy for politics to get heated, but that doesn’t mean we need to be hateful. There is a way to love people, even if you think they’re wrong. It’s possible to engage in discourse—even debate—without taking the argument personally or making it personal in response. Let’s debate the issues. In fact, let’s really dig into them. But, let’s leave the snide, snarky, irrelevant personal attacks out of it. Hatred and rage have no place in politics.
Does anyone else feel like Candidate-Senator Obama was way more exciting, passionate, and inspiring than President Obama is? Nothing new here that you probably haven’t already heard elsewhere or thought yourself, but why isn’t he using his supposedly great rhetorical skills to unite the country and motivate us to save our nation?
