According to an article on The Atlantic, Americans are more likely to be killed by their own furniture and/or TV’s—by being crushed, not via the slow suicide of obesity—than they are of being killed by a terrorist attack. If we are so relatively safe, why are we still operating as if terrorists lurked behind every corner? Because the money is just too good.
