Need to be encouraged to lose weight and exercise but you’re lacking the motivation? The US Supreme Court has the answer for you: strip searches for those arrested of minor offenses. Rack up a few unpaid parking tickets and be prepared to bare all when the boys in blue finally catch up with you!
Correction: In the audio, Phil says that the case centered around a man who had been pulled over for not having a “bell on his bike.” Where does he get this stuff? Actually, it was a man who had a warrant issued against him for having an unpaid fine. He was pulled over by a New Jersey State Trooper and arrested. Worse than Phil thought, the guy had paid the fine, possessed a letter stating this, had his protestations ignored by the trooper, was arrested anyway—technically for nothing, since the fine had been paid—and was subjected to two strip searches at two separate county prisons.
