It’s easy for politics to get heated, but that doesn’t mean we need to be hateful. There is a way to love people, even if you think they’re wrong. It’s possible to engage in discourse—even debate—without taking the argument personally or making it personal in response. Let’s debate the issues. In fact, let’s really dig into them. But, let’s leave the snide, snarky, irrelevant personal attacks out of it. Hatred and rage have no place in politics.
